What is Katae?
A family storytelling app for listening: you curate stories and playlists; children hear them in a familiar voice (parent, grandparent, caregiver, loved one — with permission) and in the languages your family uses. Designed to cut down on passive screen time. Katae complements everyday conversation — it doesn’t replace it.
What happens to my voice recordings?
Voice data is used only to power listening experiences you approve for your account — not for selling voices or ads. You’ll be able to understand retention, access, and deletion in our Privacy Policy as we ship; we’re building with strict access controls and clear consent from day one.
Do I have to record every story?
No. The idea is a quick voice setup, then you curate what plays — not a new recording for every tale.
Who is Katae for?
Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, nannies and caregivers, and anyone who wants children to hear familiar voices and stories in heritage or home languages — including multilingual and diaspora families. Some families use listening alongside speech or language support with a professional’s guidance. Katae is not medical care.
Is this only for bedtime?
No. Use it for car rides, quiet time, routines, language exposure, winding down, or whenever you want calmer storytelling instead of more video.
